Fenghuang Mountain in Fengcheng, Dandong, is a great place to enjoy the colorful autumn leaves.

This autumn, my family and I went to Fenghuang Mountain. We didn't walk the whole way. We took a sightseeing bus from the ticket office at the foot of the mountain to the ticket gate, and then walked. We enjoyed the autumn scenery and maple leaves along the way, and soon arrived at Fenghuang Square. There are pigeons on the square. You can buy food to feed them and take photos with them. We passed Zhuangyuan Bridge, Wenkui Pavilion, and Ziyang Temple, and arrived at the cable car station. We took the cable car up the mountain. The maple leaves on the mountain were red, yellow, and green, and the scenery was beautiful. The cable car station is near General Peak. We climbed General Peak and Arhat Peak on the right, and enjoyed a bird's-eye view of Fengcheng. On the top of the peak, we saw pines and cypresses in various shapes, and the distant mountains covered with colorful trees and red maple leaves nearby. We walked to Rabbit Ear Peak on the left of the cable car station, and climbed a steep staircase to the dangerous Laoniubei. We didn't go any further, and took the cable car back down the mountain. Fenghuang Mountain is one of the four famous mountains in Liaoning Province. It is known for its "majesty", "uniqueness", and "danger", and is known as "the first mountain of adventure in China". According to legend, when Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, toured the east, the legend of "Phoenix Worshiping Ancestors" was spread, and Fenghuang Mountain was named after it. There are many attractions on Fenghuang Mountain, such as Arrow Eye, Laoniubei, Tianxia Jue, Baibu Jin, Juxiantai, Xianrenzuo, General Peak, Rabbit Ear Peak, Shenma Peak, Fenghuang Cave, Jinchan Wangyue, Guimonkey Pilgrimage, and Shibi He Ying. There are also plank roads, zip lines, glass plank roads, and glass suspension bridges, as well as cultural relics such as Ziyang Temple and Kublai Khan Tower. It is a national 4A-level scenic spot. Food and accommodation: There are hotels on Fenghuang Mountain, which are convenient for watching the sunrise. There are many hotels and restaurants in Fengcheng City at the foot of the mountain, 3–5 km from the scenic area, which is very convenient. Transportation: Self-driving: Exit at Fengcheng Expressway, go straight for 3 km, and turn right. High-speed rail: Take the high-speed rail to Fengcheng East Station, take the special bus from the East Station to the train station, and transfer to Bus No. 10 (every 20 minutes) to the gate of Fenghuang Mountain.
