Enhe Russian-style day trip to the border fairytale town

Setting off in the morning sunlight of Ergun, we sped along G331, the road conditions so excellent it lifted our spirits! After a little over two hours, we arrived at Enhe Russian Ethnic Village, a fairytale town nestled in the valley. ✨ 🌍There are so many stories to share about Enhe! It's China's only Russian ethnic township, located at 51 degrees north latitude, gently embraced by green mountains, quietly gazing across the Ergun River at Russia. The village retains a strong traditional Russian atmosphere; walking through the streets feels like stepping into a foreign town. 🎪 🏡The most eye-catching feature is the colorful wooden houses! Red, yellow, blue… it's like a spilled palette of colors, so adorable! Every window sill is filled with flowers, and there are small vegetable gardens behind the houses. Every snapshot is a perfect fairytale scene. 📸 🚴♀️Here you can experience making traditional Russian bread and rent a bicycle to slowly ride along the paths. The afternoon sun filters through the birch forest, casting dappled shadows—it's breathtakingly beautiful! I highly recommend waiting until evening and following the route the guesthouse owner points out to hike up the back of the mountain (it might be a hike now). Standing atop the mountain, you'll be speechless with awe—the Ha'er River meanders like a silver ribbon, the golden birch forests layer upon layer, and adorable haystacks dot the landscape. If you're lucky enough to catch the sunset, the entire sky will turn a romantic crimson 🌄 💡Tips: The view from the summit is superb, but the road is quite bumpy, so drive slowly if you're driving; the guesthouses in the village are very cozy, be sure to try the owner's homemade blueberry jam! There's a large temperature difference between day and night, so a jacket is highly recommended.
