It is known for its grandeur, strangeness, divinity, and beauty, and is considered a unique cave landscape both within the province and beyond. The park has four major scenic areas, eight wonders, and thirty-two scenic spots, relying on the natural cave at the source of the Gaoqiao Reservoir, forming a comprehensive water conservancy scenic area with cave sightseeing, Tujia song and dance performances, ethnic customs exhibitions, water amusement, catering and accommodation, and conference reception. The Dragon Scale Palace is a cave landscape that combines both water and dry caves, consisting of water caves, dry caves, and maze caves, with a total length of over 2300 meters, including the 'Little Three Gorges' of the water cave stretching over 500 meters, and the dry caves and maze caves extending over 1800 meters. The average height inside the cave is 50 meters, and it is 30 meters wide.
