Egmont - New Plymoith

#newzealandtrip My recent trip to Egmont (also known as Mount Taranaki) was an unforgettable adventure. Located on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island, this region offers some of the country’s most stunning natural landscapes, with the towering, symmetrical cone of Mount Taranaki as the centerpiece. I started my visit by exploring the Egmont National Park. The drive into the park was picturesque, with dense forests and winding roads leading to stunning views of the mountain. I hiked the popular Pouakai Circuit, which took me through lush rainforests, past cascading waterfalls, and up to viewpoints with breathtaking panoramas of Mount Taranaki reflecting in the nearby tarns. The track was moderately challenging, but the scenery made every step worth it.
