Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Spring, a place I've longed to visit! The weather is not too hot yet. The highest temperature in the scenic area during the day is 31°C, but the northwest region is dry, so I didn't sweat much. Moreover, it's immediately cool in the shaded areas within the scenic area. The best time to enter the park is after 4 p.m., when it's not too hot. At night, you can admire Crescent Spring under the night sky on Mingsha Mountain and attend a concert with thousands of people. Upon entering the scenic area, the first thing to do is to ride a camel, which takes about an hour. Camels smell bad and poop anytime, anywhere. Generally, it's a group of five or six people. At first, it's a bit uncomfortable to ride and hard to keep up with the camel's swaying pace. Having a stiff back and gripping the handrails too tightly makes it tiring, but it gets much easier once you learn to relax. The staff charge 20 yuan per person for taking photos, and although the service is quite good, it still feels expensive, especially since riding a camel already costs 100 yuan. The camel ride ends at the Crescent Spring sightseeing car terminal, which is the perfect starting point for a walking tour. After the tour, you can take the sightseeing car out of the scenic area, which is a perfect connection! First, take photos of the spring water at the foot of the mountain, then climb the mountain. The stairway is crowded, so you can climb directly up the desert. It's a challenge of three steps up and two steps back, which is quite difficult but also interesting and a good experience. The UV rays are strong, so be sure to protect yourself. And when climbing the sand mountain, it's even more important to wear a hat, mask, and glasses, otherwise, when the wind blows and the sand rises, it's not so pleasant. Sunset is at 9 p.m. After sunset, there is a starry sky concert with thousands of people. Although I don't know if there are really thousands of people, the hillside is already full of tourists by then, all looking forward to participating in this interactive concert. We left the scenic area before the concert started, so we didn't witness this grand occasion. I heard that if the weather is good, there will be a sky full of stars.
