Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah is one of the largest land reclamation projects in the world, known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." Construction of Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001 and was completed in early 2006. By October 2007, Palm Jumeirah had become the largest artificial island in the world, with 500 families already residing on the island. On November 20, 2008, the Atlantis Hotel, located on the crescent of the island, officially opened. This global luxury hotel project cost $1.5 billion.
