#Pha Cho, Chiang Mai Province Pha Cho is located in Mae Wang National Park, Chiang Mai Province. It is a natural phenomenon caused by wind and rain erosion, which caused the land in this area, which used to be a path of the Ping River, to erode into cliffs and pillars of soil, similar to the Grand Canyon. This has earned Pha Cho the nickname “Thailand’s Grand Canyon.” Pha Cho is a large stone wall and pillars with unusual patterns, measuring about 30 meters high and covering hundreds of meters wide. To get to Pha Cho, once you reach the parking lot, you have to walk another 500 meters through a nature study trail and up the mountain to Pha Cho. When you come to visit, you should bring drinking water and appropriate clothing and shoes because the path is made of soil and the weather is quite hot. The best time to visit is in the morning because the sun is not hot. You can travel there as a day trip.
