Pha Cho, a natural sculpture in the middle of the forest

#Chiang Mai Travel "Pha Cho" is located in Doi Lor District, Chiang Mai Province, under the supervision of Mae Wang National Park. It is a large stone wall and pillars, about 30 meters high, covering a width of hundreds of meters. It has unusual soil patterns, which are natural phenomena caused by wind and rain erosion, creating large soil sculptures. It is believed that thousands of years ago, this area used to be a path for the Ping River, which can be seen from the round pebbles scattered in the soil. Until the Ping River changed direction and flowed to another place, this area was raised into a high hill. Ping River sediment accumulated in layers and was eroded into cliffs and soil pillars with strange shapes. Due to its unusual natural features, similar to the Grand Canyon, Pha Cho has been nicknamed the "Grand Canyon of Thailand". To travel to Pha Cho, from the parking lot, you have to walk for another 500 meters through a nature study trail. There are both walking along a dry stream and walking up the mountain to Pha Cho. Visitors should prepare drinking water, appropriate clothing and shoes.
