Travel to Qatar: I.M. Pei's final masterpiece is here!

As a fan of I.M. Pei's architecture, I have visited many of his works, such as the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, and the Suzhou Museum. This time, I visited the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar, which is I.M. Pei's final masterpiece designed at the age of 91. Standing in front of this world-class art landmark, I felt a sense of pride as a Chinese. I.M. Pei was not only a master architect but also a traveler. He said, "I don't like designing buildings in one place all the time. My works are all over the world. I chose this path and enjoyed it. I like to learn about a new place. I keep learning and enjoy studying the history of different places. I have learned to appreciate the cultural traditions and history of different places. To me, this is architecture." To build the Museum of Islamic Art, I.M. Pei, at the age of 91, spent months visiting Islamic countries, personally traveling to India, Syria, Tunisia, Egypt, and other places to gain an in-depth understanding of Islamic architectural styles and study Muhammad's theories. Finally, he completed this masterpiece. To prevent the museum from being overshadowed by the modern skyscrapers of Doha, I.M. Pei insisted on creating an artificial island in the Persian Gulf. From a distance, the Museum of Islamic Art stands like a monument on the coastline. The half-covered roof resembles an Arab woman, quietly watching Doha, mysterious and silent. 🟦 Pei's Geometric Aesthetics Symmetrical geometric elements are widely used in the architecture, both in appearance and interior, presenting an absolutely symmetrical geometric aesthetic. The interior space of the museum is spacious and transparent. 🟦 Let Light Dominate the Design I.M. Pei said, "The strong sunlight in the desert region will inject life into the building. The dome inside the museum introduces the central light into the atrium, and the floor-to-ceiling windows introduce sunlight. The overall design follows I.M.
