The Delhi Metro

Introduction- The Delhi Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh, in the National Capital Region of India. The network consists of 10 colour-coded lines serving 255 stations with a total length of 348.12 kilometres. It is by far the largest and busiest metro rail system in India, and the second oldest after the Kolkata Metro. The system has a mix of underground, at-grade, and elevated stations using both broad-gauge and standard-gauge. Delhi Metro operates over 2,700 trips daily, starting at around 05:30 and ending at 23:30. It is none less than a revolution in this era of traffic in a busy city like Delhi. It is safe for the girls as well. Getting There - One needs to look in to the maps and look for nearest metro stations in their departure area and destination in order to ensure smooth journey. You can easily find in out in Google. Food & Restaurants - There are multiple food restaurants inside the metro stations, specially in Rajiv Chowk metro station I have seen. #mytripvlog#tripblazers

Raj Ghat, Delhi

The Raj Ghat is a memorial site to honour Mahatma Gandhi. The grounds are extensive and park like. The monument itself is a simple black marble platform which is the site of Ghandis cremation. The platform is open air and there is an ever burning flame. The complex also has 2 museums dedicated to Gandhi.
