Datong, Shanxi · A homestay in the ancient city

I recommend a homestay in Datong ancient city called Beiyunqi. It is located inside the ancient city, right behind the Daiwang Mansion, practically the mansion's backyard garden! It takes only about ten to twenty minutes to walk to Huayan Temple, a leisurely stroll away. This trip to Shanxi was decided on a whim, but it turned out to be exceptionally satisfying! The service at the homestay is very good, and the staff are very enthusiastic, leaving me with the impression that the people of Datong are hospitable and warm. Since I've been walking around the attractions to the point of exhaustion, I casually asked the landlady where I could find a foot massage, and she immediately arranged for a masseur to come and provide the service, which, as someone who is already a fan of massages, I was extremely pleased with. There's also a variety of breakfast options, and desserts are provided in the evening when returning to the hotel. I can only say that it's worth the price!
