Aden Village: A Hidden Paradise Among Sacred Mountains

Aden Village is located in the core area of the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area, at an altitude of 3,900 meters. It consists of 17 Tibetan-style stone and wood houses, with red walls and white roofs that harmonize beautifully with the snow-capped mountains and meadows. It is often referred to as a miniature version of the "Last Shangri-La." The village's electricity supply is not very stable, and power and water outages are common. Additionally, the high altitude can easily cause altitude sickness. Currently, the village has over 10 Tibetan-style guesthouses, some of which offer underfloor heating or electric blankets. Prices range from 300 to 800 yuan per night, and reservations during peak season need to be made a month in advance. Some guesthouses have restaurants that serve Tibetan-style breakfasts (butter tea and barley cakes) and dinners. It is recommended to bring self-heating hot pots, chocolate, and other high-calorie snacks.
