Daocheng Yading Airport is the highest civil airport in the world. 🏨 Staying in Yading Don't rush to explore when you arrive in Daocheng Yading. As it is a high-altitude area, it is recommended to settle down first and let your body rest and adapt to the plateau environment. There are two accommodation options in Daocheng Yading: 1️⃣ Daocheng County: Most tourists choose to stay in the county, which has complete facilities, various hotels and homestays, and prices ranging from RMB 100–400. The altitude here is also relatively low, which is more suitable for the body to adapt to. 2️⃣ Yading Village: Closer to the entrance of the scenic area, suitable for early entry into the scenic area. However, the altitude is higher (3,900 m), and the accommodation conditions are relatively simple. ⛲️ Daocheng Yading Scenic Area Tour Route: Daocheng Yading is mainly known for its snow-capped mountains. The three sacred mountains are very spectacular: Xian Nai Ri, Yang Mai Yong, and Xia Nuo Duo Ji. Chonggu Monastery: The entrance to the scenic area, where you can see the sacred mountain Xian Nai Ri. Pearl Lake: It takes about 1 hour to hike there. When the weather is good, you can see the reflection of the snow-capped mountains in the lake. Luorong Pasture: Take the electric car (round trip approx. RMB 80). It is recommended to take the electric car to save energy. Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake (very beautiful, but very tiring): It takes about 3 hours to hike from Luorong Pasture. The altitude is high (above 4,500 m), so it is recommended to do what you can.
