A lesser-known temple in Luxor that you must visit

The Dendera Temple is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and is famous for its well-preserved architecture and exquisite reliefs. The temple was built during the Ptolemaic period and combines ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman architectural styles. The Dendera Temple is the only temple with multiple basements and secret passages. There are 14 basements in the temple, but only one basement has stairs leading down. Sometimes, the staff won't let you go down because there are people below, but you just need to wait a while before you can go down. Be sure to check out the basement, where there is a famous relief known as the "Dendera Light." The relief depicts a pattern similar to a modern light bulb, sparking discussions about whether the ancient Egyptians had mastered electricity. However, most scholars believe that these patterns actually symbolize mythological scenes in religious rituals rather than real electrical devices. You can investigate this yourself. The murals are very exquisite, especially the well-preserved reliefs in the basement. The drive takes an hour and a half, and you can also rent a car to get there.
