Luang Pho Khun, Ban Rai Temple, Nakhon Ratchasima

#Wat Ban Rai It is an old temple in Dan Khun Thot District. Luang Por Khun Parisuttho built it as a small monastery around 1953. He started building the chapel. Villagers helped each other cut down trees, which were abundant in the past. Cutting trees at that time was not very convenient. There were no machines or roads. It was difficult to transport the sawn wood. They had to use oxen to pull the cart or human labor on the rugged road. However, Luang Por Khun led the villagers to build the chapel until it was completed (it has now been demolished and a new one has been built instead). In addition to building the chapel, Luang Por Khun also built monks' quarters, a sala, dug a pond for consumption and, most importantly, built a school for the children of Ban Rai. Currently, Wat Ban Rai has developed and people from all over the country travel to make merit. #Wat Ban Rai is a famous temple in the province. It is the residence of Phra Thep Witthayakom or Luang Por Khun, a famous monk. Every day, people from all directions travel to pay homage to Luang Por Koon. At the entrance to Wat Ban Rai, the trees are trimmed to be neat and beautiful, and the sign of Wat Ban Rai is also cleaned. The road in front of Wat Ban Rai School leading into Wat Ban Rai is still full of holes and bumps in some areas. When you reach the front of Wat Ban Rai, you will see the beautiful Luang Por Koon Museum, which has just opened to the public. Behind the museum, next to the crocodile pond, there are shops selling things that are arranged neatly and not chaotic. At the end of the temple is a small grove with large trees planted to provide shade. The side of the ordination hall of Wat Ban Rai and the area around the ordination hall are decorated as small gardens with beautiful ornamental plants.
