Dali old town

Getting There - I took a DiDi from Dali railway station. It took about 30mins or so. You can also easily do a day trip from Kunming. The train ride is a little over one hour so it’s very convenient. I do suggest you stay for a night or two but a day trip is also possible! Attractions - Ancient and historic buildings are one of the highlights in Dali Old Town. I suggest you just walk around and take in the beauty and great atmosphere of the old town! Hotels - I stayed at T-Dali in the old town. I strongly recommend this hotel. Although I was traveling with the PSB receipt, check-in was very quick and easy! Food & Restaurants - There are TONS of restaurants and cafes! I had lunch at a mostly plant based restaurant and it was delicious. (Check my other post about that restaurant- Worth a try)! Shopping - Many shops where you can buy souvenirs and little snacks.
