Daegu is famous not only for its heat but also for its numerous delicious eateries. Today, I visited Jeonwon Donkkaseu, a renowned pork cutlet restaurant located in Jungang-ro, Daegu. Jeonwon Donkkaseu has been operating in the same location for about 30 years. The interior of the restaurant has a retro vibe, reminiscent of a place where people might have gone on dates 20-30 years ago. The signature dish, pork cutlet, was crispy even though it was covered in sauce. The sauce had a slight peppery taste and was somewhat similar to the sauce used for seasoned fried chicken. The crispy pork cutlet and the sauce complemented each other well, which might be why it has been loved for such a long time. However, if you are a man who loves pork cutlets, you might find the portion a bit small, so I recommend ordering a double portion. Don't forget to enjoy the dessert cola that comes with the meal!
