Is this the Vietnamese version of Disney? Guide to a one-day tour of Bana Hills
This time coming to Da Nang, Vietnam, the biggest surprise is this place called Bana Hills. This resort built by the French at an altitude of 1400 meters on the mountain has now become a Vietnamese version of Disney that integrates dining, accommodation, and entertainment.
💝Must-visit
1. The Hand of God Bridge (go before 8 am or after 5 pm)
2. French Village (suitable for taking photos, most beautiful in the evening)
3. Manual roller coaster (70,000 Vietnamese dong, just too short in duration)
4. Indoor amusement park (various amusement facilities, including an indoor drop tower)
5. Castle mini train (enjoy the exterior of the castle and the scenery of Bana Hills)
6. The Great Buddha (standing on the mountain top overlooking all beings)
📸Photo spots:
There are many places in Bana Hills that are worth visiting and taking photos
1. The square in front of the Mercure Hotel entrance
2. The Hand of God Bridge
3. Castle train
4. Cable car
5. The Great Buddha
6. Pink castle
🛏️Accommodation
📍Mecure Danang (Mercure Bana Hills)
This beautiful hotel is worth staying for a night, so you won't be too rushed when visiting Bana Hills
🔸It's like living in a European castle or an upgraded version of Moganshan's Naked Heart Castle. Open the window and you'll see the spire church and the central square. The most beautiful moment of Bana Hills is actually after four or five o'clock when the tourists go down the mountain.
Lying on the windowsill of the room's attic, you feel like a princess on the run waiting for a prince to rescue.
🔸Staying on the mountain, you can take another cable car passage exclusive to the hotel, without squeezing with tourists, basically no queuing
🔸In the morning and evening, you can take photos of the Hand of God Bridge when tourists go down the mountain
🍽️Dining
🔸There are many packages online that include lunch buffet and tickets. In fact, there are many restaurant choices on the mountain, with Chinese, Korean, and Western cuisines, so you don't need to waste time on an expensive buffet at noon.
🔸If you stay at the Mercure Hotel, you can have brunch in the buffet restaurant in the morning and solve lunch as well.
🔸For dinner, you can go to the beer square, where there is music, beer, and barbecue, and the atmosphere is great.
🎫Tickets
🔸It is recommended to stay on the mountain for one night, so the ticket, which is also the cable car ticket, will be cheaper by a few tens of yuan.
🔸If you don't stay on the mountain, tickets are divided into day and night sessions, and entering after 3 pm for the night session will be cheaper
🚠Transportation
🔸You can take a grab taxi from the city center of Da Nang to the foot of Bana Hills, which costs about 90-100 yuan, and then take the cable car up the mountain.
🔸There is a free bus from the city center to Bana Hills every day, departing from the little bana hill restaurant entrance

Ba na Hills
#danangtrip We visited the Bana Hills Sun World around Christmas time. December is the rainy season and the entire place was enveloped in mist, giving it a mysterious charm.
We were not interested in the rides, and many of them were shut due to remain and mist. Instead we explored the charming sites and arenas of different countries that they have created. It is a great experience indeed.
The cable car (supposed to longest) takes you to almost 1500 meters up in about 30 minutes. The change in weather and temperature is rapid. So keep a set of clothing layer hasn't.
The place loses a star, at least 1 if not more, for the lack of service. There is absolutely no one to guide you or help you if you need directions or any kind of assistance. Language is a big barrier too. In service department it is no where near Disney. Be ready with a good map.

Golden Hands Bridge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
The Golden Bridge, built above an altitude of 1400 meters, is nestled among the clouds
I specifically arranged two days for Bana Hills during my trip to Da Nang, Vietnam, and even stayed a night at the Mercure hotel on the mountain.
One important reason was to avoid the crowds and take photos of the iconic Golden Bridge, which is located above an altitude of 1400 meters. It's a place that has recently become very popular online.
The Golden Bridge is situated just below the summit of Bana Hills, and the view from a drone is particularly breathtaking.
📍Golden Bridge on Bana Hills
📸Photography Tips
1️⃣Best Time Slots
The Golden Bridge is always crowded. To capture it without any bystanders, there are only two ideal times: early morning and late evening.
Moreover, if the sunlight is good during these times, you can really capture the essence of the 'golden bridge', as its English name suggests
- 6:15 The first cable car has the fewest people and the best light
- 7:00 The second cable car, at this time there are not many visitors staying on the mountain
- After 8:00, large numbers of tourists start to arrive, and the light also becomes stronger
- Around 17:00 in the evening, many tourists have descended, and you can capture the sunset
2️⃣Choose Good Weather
The bridge looks completely different on rainy days compared to sunny days
The day I took these photos, it was as if Buddha's light was shining upon us, while some people online captured it looking gloomy or completely enveloped in clouds
3️⃣Top-down and Wide-angle Shots
These two angles are the best for capturing the Golden Bridge
The former requires a drone for the most shocking effect
The latter can be done with the wide-angle mode on a smartphone
4️⃣Attire
If you want to take portraits, it's recommended to wear slightly brighter colors, and dresses are preferred
🌿Surroundings
🔸After visiting the Golden Bridge, don't rush to take the cable car back; you can continue walking forward to the rose garden and the big Buddha, where you can stroll and take photos at leisure
🔸You can visit the French Village by taking the cable car back to the top of the mountain
🚠Transport
🔸You must take a twenty-minute cable car ride (the world's longest cable car) to the top of the mountain, then transfer to another cable car to reach the Golden Bridge on the next level
🔸To go up the mountain, you need to purchase a cable car ticket, which also serves as the entrance ticket. Guests staying on the mountain get a discount on the cable car ticket. There is no additional ticket required to visit the Golden Bridge
The Famous Golden Hands Bridge Vietnam🇻🇳✨
#danangtrip
The Golden Hands Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks and a must visit attraction in Vietnam! this bridge is located in Danang City, specifically located in Ba Na Hill Area. The bridge is slightly curved and supported gracefully by a pair of separate enormous hands. Walking the bridge will give you some the most scenic and panoramic views of Da Nang city and the valley below.
Well, this time i visited the famous Golden Hands Bridge in Danang Vietnam. To reach this famous tourist destination you need to take a cable car from the entrance of ba na hills. The cable car will stop at 2 destinations: Golden Bridge & Sun World Ba Na Hill Themepark.
To take a picture without people around, the key is you need to stay at mercure french village and enter the cable car at 6AM from Ba Na Hill Themepark/Mercure French Village Hotel. I took the first cable car and after 2 mins arrived at the golden bridge, many people already come to this instagrammable spot.

🇻🇳Visiting Golden Hands Bridge🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We Walked to the area just under the Golden Hands Bridge, this place is definitely with less people AND a place where we could fully see both Hands of the Golden Bridge😍
And there you go, we’ve seen the most famous attraction - the Golden Bridge (aka the “Hand Bridge”), a 500-foot long arced pedestrian bridge that appears to be held up over the world far below by two giant stone hands💙
Tip: If you really can’t get a decent shot on the bridge then go here…just walk further to the end and turn left down here👍

🇻🇳🌉Danang’s Famous Golden Bridge🌉🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
Now on the Golden Bridge~ I have to hand it to them🤣🤭🙌🏼, but the Golden Bridge (or the Cau Vang) is surely one of the most beautiful man-made bridges of all time.
It was completed in June 2018, and it resembles two, gigantic hands holding up a shiny piece of gold to the gods above the misty clouds of Vietnam. Visitors from Vietnam and tourists from all over flock to this bridge here as it is the most prominent feature representing Danang.
It is really a wonder though but very hard to capture a picture on without people around, I’d gather you have to really early or late to have some nice photos without the crowd. Still a great sight to see👍

My Khe Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
The Most Beautiful Beach In Vietnam?🇻🇳
Danang is not only about Hai Chau District. If you have more time to stay in Da Nang City, i would recommend you to stay near My Khe Beach because in this area it’ll be so beautiful and crowded when the night comes.
My Khe Beach is one of Vietnam's most beautiful beaches. Forbes magazine nominated My Khe as one of the world's six most beautiful beaches.
The beach is famous for its blue sky, smooth white sand, gentle slope, and clear water. My Khe beach is a paradise for nature lovers, You can do many things in this beach: relaxing, trying watersport, swimming, etc.

🌴Cool Beach Bar in My Khe Beach🌴
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We went to Esco Beach Bar Lounge and Restaurant which was right opposite our hotel and Located just steps away from the crystal-clear waters of My Khe Beach.
This place offers a relaxing atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and stunning views of the coastline. They had a good Happy Hour deal so we went for that as well as a burger, seafood pizza and calamari.
💜Order the Seafood Pizza—we loved it💜
💙Go for Happy Hours—great drinks and prices💙
As you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and a modern, minimalist decor. The open-air seating area allowed us to soak up the sunshine and feel the sea breeze while enjoying our meal, we dined and drank til sunset💜

My Khe Beach
#wheretogo
My Khe Beach is probably one of Da Nang City’s most famous beach, known for it’s 10km coast line and located right at the city
The government had spent efforts to keep the beach clean and free admission. The lack of strong waves also made it really safe for recreational activities and kids.
We found the beach a perfect complement to our hotel stay in Da Nang city because there is no lack of hotels for you to choose from. And every hotel will catch you the view of the My Khe beach. Our hotel was just a 5 mins walk away. To me it’s something quite rare as if it is other cities, this prime view would probably cost us thousands of dollars.
🇻🇳Danang My Khe Beach Day🇻🇳
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
As the sun begins to set, the sky starts to change into beautiful colors, these are Some of our Sunset shots at My Khe Beach🧡💙💜🩷💛
It is truly beautiful and a great way to welcome the evening. Still a lot of people around and the calm sea is amazing to swim in, also not too cold. Suggest bringing a beach mat and some snacks to have a picnic there, go for a swim and relax watching the sunset💙☀️

Stay At Mercure French Village Ba Na Hill🇻🇳
This time i stayed in Mercure French Village in Ba Na Hills Vietnam. To reach this hotel it only accessible by cable car, Mercure has their own cable car its different with cable car for Sun World Ba Na Hills.
But sometimes they also used the Sun World Cable Car if their cable car has a maintenance. For the guests who stayed in Mercure Ba Na Hills, you got discount for the cable car tickets, the tickets usually VND 900.000 but for the hotel guests it becomes 650.000 VND.
Mercure Ba Na Hills has more than 3 hotel buildings, the names also different: Hotel De Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, etc. I stayed in Hotel De Marseille (the location is in the centre point of french village).
The Hotel room is not too big, but enough for 2. There is no AC because the weather in Ba Na Hills is already cold but they have a fan in the room. The amenities is complete.
What i like the most is their breakfast, mix between Vietnamese & Western food. I recommend you to book a room with breakfast when you stay here. Also, the swimming pool are huge with warm water.
The other privileges if you stay here: Can going to Golden Bridge at the early morning, can explore Ba Na Hills at night, Peaceful place after the themepark closed.

Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills
#Traveling to Vietnam
Let's explore the accommodations at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills and see if they are worth the price we paid. During this trip, we planned to visit Bana Hills to check-in at the famous Golden Bridge and enjoy the breathtaking views of the French Village, as if we were in Europe. We chose to stay at Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills because we wanted to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere, both during the day and at night. I must say that it was truly worth it, from the ambiance to the accommodation, and we took plenty of beautiful photos.
The room we booked was a Family Deluxe with three beds, but upon check-in, we were given a larger room with a king-size bed and a bunk bed. The room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, beautifully decorated, and perfect for capturing stunning photos. The view from the room resembled different French village buildings, giving us a feeling of being in a European village. The bathroom was divided into a shower room and a toilet, which was very convenient for multiple guests as we could use the facilities simultaneously, whether it was taking a shower, doing makeup, or getting ready for the day. I should mention that our room was located near the beer garden area, so if you are a light sleeper, you might be slightly bothered by the music from the beer garden. However, they stop playing music around 4 AM, so it wasn't too late, and overall, it was acceptable. I have to say that the beer garden was a lot of fun. We enjoyed sitting there, having barbecues, and sipping on chilled beers, perfectly matching the atmosphere. Additionally, if you stay here and want to escape the cold weather from the upper areas, they have a covered heated swimming pool available. You can access it using your key card. The swimming pool was fantastic, beautiful, warm, and a great way to relax after a full day of sightseeing. Moreover, it was not crowded as there are multiple pool zones, and it's quite spacious. I highly recommend not to miss the swimming pool if you stay here.
As for breakfast, it was a buffet with a wide variety of options. They offered Vietnamese dishes, pho, and American-style breakfast, so you could choose according to your preference. It was truly worth it, and you could sit and enjoy breakfast until the time was up. I would recommend it for those who have plenty of time and don't need to rush down from Bana Hills. You can have breakfast, rest, and then enjoy the attractions in the afternoon. It's really worth it, especially for families with children, as they provide numerous play areas and toys for kids. I will post a review later to share more about the available play equipment.

The Marble Mountains Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Breathtaking view of Da Nang city
The trip to Marble Mountain is an amazing experience and definitely worth the trip.
Travel tip-wear comfortably as it can get really hot and humid depending on the month of your visit. Get sports shoes or suitable walking shoes if you plan to hike to the top.
The area comprises of many caves and Buddha Statues. In one of the cave, you can spot many interesting figures on the rock and a “gate to heaven” opening by looking up.

Da Nang, a seaside paradise of delightful experience
#beachaholic
This beach city in Vietnam captivates with its dazzling shores, warm hospitality, and vibrant culture. With its golden sandy beaches stretching along the crystal-clear waters of the East Sea, Da Nang offers a coastal haven for relaxation and fun.
Sunrise or sunset on Son Tra mountain is pure magic, casting a golden glow over the city and setting the stage for an exciting day ahead.
The iconic Dragon Bridge illuminates the night sky, delighting visitors with its fire and water displays. The Han River's reflections add to the city's enchantment, best enjoyed during a cruise.
Da Nang's cultural richness is evident in the Marble Mountains, home to sacred pagodas and mystical caves. The nearby Hoi An Ancient Town, with its lantern-lit streets and charming architecture, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. These 2 attractions are reviewed by me, you all can read for more information.
For food lovers, Da Nang's vibrant street food scene tantalizes taste buds with local delicacies like banh mi and mi quang.
Da Nang, also as my hometown, is an ideal destination for those seeking a perfect blend of beach bliss, cultural exploration, and delectable cuisine. The city's allure, vibrant energy, and coastal charm make it a trip of delightful experiences and cherished memories.
The Marble mountains in Da Nang
Located just on the outskirts of Da Nang is the marble mountain. It is a great place to hike and is not too difficult so ideal for all ages and physicality. At the summit, you are rewarded with beautiful views over the sea one way, and the city in the opposite direction. The mountains are easy to get to and a stopping off point towards Hoi An.

#2023travelwish
this is one of places that I would say worth visiting when you are in Da Nang. apparently it is free now due to the pandemic for the last 2 years. there are 2 options to go up, either do the hike or take the elevator ( not free of charge) and walk till the top! the view up there is phenomenal, and the hike itself was a bit challenging, but it was totally worth it!! there are few caves to explore and pavilions!! beautiful place! #tripblazers #fallingforfall #beachlife
