#VietnamTravel The Dragon Bridge of Vietnam, or the Vietnamese name Cầu Rồng, began construction in 2009 and was first opened on March 29, 2013 to celebrate the 38th anniversary of the independence of Da Nang. Designed by engineering consultants Ammann & Whitney and the Louis Berger Group, the 666-meter-long, 37.5-meter-wide, 6-lane bridge crosses the Han River, the main river of Da Nang, making it easier to travel from Da Nang International Airport to the main roads in the city. The highlight is the giant golden dragon in the middle of the bridge, which is a symbol of prosperity and a mythical animal. Every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 p.m., the Dragon Bridge area is closed and opened as a pedestrian street for tourists and city residents to walk and relax, decorated with beautiful lights. There is also a fire-breathing dragon show on the bridge for you to enjoy. #wattosann
