There are fewer hotel options than in Mexico City. We wanted to be closer to local friends who live in Coyoacan, so we stayed here for three nights. It is located near the former residences of Frida Kahlo and Leon Trotsky. It has a B&B feel and is family-run. It feels like local people live in a large hall and connected rooms in the basement, and the first and second floors have been converted into several rooms with different characteristics for rent. Some rooms even have simple kitchens, which are convenient for long-term or short-term stays. The three of us stayed in a four-person room with a unique design. Although there was no formal window facing the street, we had exclusive use of the rooftop garden to enjoy the breakfast we prepared.
