Have you seen the most representative mixed-race building in Cordoba?

Córdoba, Spain, an ancient Andalusian city, has a population of less than 400,000, but it has four World Heritage Sites and carries the glorious history of Phoenician, ancient Roman, Islamic and Catholic civilizations. In addition to the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, today we will introduce several other representative hybrid buildings here: The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos (Figure 1-3) was once a Visigothic castle, and later became the palace of the Umayyad Dynasty, housing the largest library in Europe. During the Reconquista, the Catholic Kings used this as their palace and received Columbus here for the first time in 1486. Medina Azahara (Figure 4-6) is a royal city built by the Umayyad Dynasty in the 10th century. It has the most luxurious palace complex and complete municipal system in Europe, showing the heyday of Islamic civilization and was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 2018. The Roman Temple (Templo Romano de Córdoba, Figures 7-8) bears witness to the glory of Córdoba as the capital of the Spanish province of the ancient Roman Republic. The 11 Corinthian columns standing in the ruins still tell of that long history.
