#Overseas travel The Grundtvig Church is a uniquely shaped, beautiful church. There are many beautiful churches in the world. In 1913, architect Peder Wilhelm Jensen-Klint (1853-1930) won the design competition for a church to commemorate the beloved hymn writer N. F. S. Grundtvig. However, the cornerstone was not laid until several years later, in 1921. Grundtvig was a spiritual leader who founded the highly acclaimed Higher Civic School in Denmark. He was active as a poet, theologian, and public educator, and worked hard for the educational enlightenment of Denmark.
