Copenhagen | Art museum in Nordic tropical rainforest

At the Xin Jiashi Bo Art Museum, the interaction between art and space has its unique charm, largely due to the color matching and display in the museum. In the winter garden at the intersection of the two wings, the design of the circular arched dome is due to Carl Jacobsen's obsession with 19th century industrial technology. Steel, greenery, and marble intertwine to create a Nordic tropical rainforest. Designer Kupka once said, "As Danes, we need to know more about flowers and plants. In the winter I imagine, this greenery will make people want to explore. Because of these palm trees, they will also pause in front of the sculptures." Different from the concept of a regular art museum that centers around exhibits and arranges everything else around them, the designer has created numerous color collisions in the museum. Not only are the walls eye-catching, but the floors are also equally impressive, telling their own stories. Among them, the Scottish-style mosaic was designed for Karl Jacobson's British wife, Ottilia, and there are also wheat pattern mosaics, all of which are Karl's tribute to the Jacobson family industry.
