Two-Day Trip from Brisbane to Ballina Early in the morning of the second day, I was awakened by the incessant chirping of birds outside the tent—a minor annoyance from nature. After breakfast, we embarked on our stop-and-go journey back. Stop 1: Ballina Lately, I've been fascinated by small, charming towns like Ballina. The town boasts numerous secondhand shops filled with a wide array of goods, from $1 secondhand books to gold jewelry and electrical appliances. Before I knew it, the afternoon had arrived. Stop 2: Lennox Head Driving north, we ascended Pat Morton Lookout. A small path led us to higher ground, offering a panoramic view of the towering cliffs below. As I stood on the soft grass, feeling the sea breeze on my face, I couldn't help but think this was what the end of the world must look like. Stop 3: Point Danger Our next stop brought us back to the border between Queensland and New South Wales. We hopped back and forth across the boundary marker, amusing ourselves as our phones frantically adjusted to the time change. The overcast sky made the ocean waves resemble crisp, translucent blue-green glass, shattering into a spray of water as they crashed against the shore. Stop 4: Snapper Rocks Continuing down from Point Danger, we arrived at Snapper Rocks. Gazing across the sea at the Gold Coast, it looked so surreal, like a mirage deceiving our eyes. A large rock facing the ocean had been painted to resemble a green frog.
