Co To Tourism

Co To is an eastern island district of Quang Ninh province. With a population of about 7,000 people and a natural area of ​​more than 50km2 including more than 50 large and small islands around. The district was established in 1994 with the current administrative unit consisting of 2 communes & 1 town. The islanders come from many different provinces and cities in the country, the largest of which are Thai Binh; Nam Dinh, Hai Phong; Thanh Hoa; Nghe An and some other provinces and cities under the new economic development program to build the island district from the years 78-90, so Co To has a cultural identity that is a mixture of regions but still has a unique coastal culture formed by the people of the provinces who have lived and worked on the island for many years. The island district's economy focuses mainly on 2 key areas: tourism services & seafood exploitation and processing.
