Death Valley & Red Rock Canyon – The Two Faces of Desert Wonders During my trip to the western United States, I encountered Death Valley and Red Rock Canyon, two deserts with completely different atmospheres. Despite being part of the same natural world, their colors and energy were entirely distinct, making me feel grateful for visiting both. 1. Death Valley – Mystique Amidst Desolation Endless salt flats, the stillness of Zabriskie Point, and the vibrant hues of Artist's Palette—none of these places felt like they belonged to humanity. Artist's Palette, in particular, was mesmerizing with its harmonious blend of pink, green, and lavender-colored rocks, appearing more like a painting than reality. The landscapes were silent yet spoke volumes, creating an indescribably profound experience. 2. Red Rock Canyon – Close Proximity, Strong Impression It’s astonishing that such natural beauty is just a 30-minute drive from Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon offers a stark contrast to the city’s glitz and glamour. Walking along the Calico Rocks, the imposing red cliffs exude both a sense of grandeur and warmth. It’s a fantastic spot for photography and an easy trekking destination suitable for everyone. 3. Static Death Valley, Dynamic Red Rock Canyon Though both are deserts, the energy they exude is entirely different. Death Valley offers deep tranquility and moments for reflection, while Red Rock Canyon feels alive and dynamic. If your schedule allows, I highly recommend visiting both.
