It is the largest comprehensive park in Ningbo. It was planned and designed by Shanghai Tongji University and Hangzhou Garden Design Institute. After more than a year of intensive construction, it was built in 1985 and opened to the public on New Year's Day in 1987. The whole park is divided into two parts, north and south, by the ridge connecting the two peaks. The southern part is mainly for recreation, and the garden architecture follows traditional techniques, simple and elegant; the northern part is mainly for entertainment, and the architecture pays attention to the atmosphere of the times, which is coordinated and connected with the urban street scene not far away.
