Echo Forest - Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a peaceful and comfortable vacation.

I traveled from Shenzhen to Zhangjiajie for the weekend. I spent several days on Trip.com looking for a homestay and finally chose Echo Forest based on the reviews. Echo Forest is located 10 minutes by car from the Grand Canyon Scenic Area. We took the high-speed train from Shenzhen North to Zhangjiajie West Station, and then bought a bus ticket at the West Station to the Grand Canyon. The manager, Jiao, was already waiting for us at the Grand Canyon and drove us back to the hotel. This was really great. In addition to the beautiful manager, Jiao, there are two beautiful staff members. There are also three cute dogs: the smiling angel Nian Gao, the cute native dog Dun Dun, and Xiao Liu. When we arrived, we saw the housekeeper and the three dogs waiting for us at the hotel entrance. We immediately felt warm and cozy, like we were returning to our own home. Nian Gao accompanied us during our stay. Wherever we went, Nian Gao went. He was very interactive and was really the pet of the hotel! Away from the city, hidden and quiet, Echo Forest is surrounded by quiet farmland and a large fish pond. There is nothing but beautiful scenery and peace. Looking at the calm lake, I felt like I was at Erhai Lake. The stress of the big city disappeared, leaving only the joy of vacation. The manager, Jiao, personally cooked us a hearty breakfast. The manager has her own vegetable garden nearby, and there is a kitchen in the hotel where you can cook your own meals. The manager, Jiao, will also personally cook Hunan-style home-cooked dishes. There is a large soapberry forest at the entrance of Echo Forest, where you can relax and pick the fallen fruit to make your own soap. During our three-day, two-night stay, the manager, Jiao, personally drove us to and from any scenic spot we wanted to visit, cooked for us, and served meals according to our schedule. After dinner, we played cards, chatted about everything, and talked about the past and the future, just like friends. To sum up this vacation experience in one word: warm. I hope to return to Echo Forest soon: what is longed for will echo back!
