Namhangang Makguksu in Chungju

Located at Chungju Jungangtap, Namhangang Makguksu offers five types of makguksu: bibim (spicy mixed), mul (cold soup), perilla oil, perilla seed, and pollock hoe (spicy pollock sashimi). They also serve boiled pork slices and leek pancakes, along with traditional Korean liquors and makgeolli (rice wine). Unlike other makguksu specialty restaurants that typically offer only mul and bibim makguksu, this place stands out with its unique black sesame perilla oil makguksu. It's incredibly nutty and delicious! The pollock hoe makguksu is also a must-try. The pollock hoe itself is tangy and sweet, making it a perfect match when mixed with the noodles. The generous portion of pollock hoe adds to the delightful combination. On this day, I truly enjoyed a refreshing and tasty meal!
