Hangzhou has not only West Lake but also One Thousand Island Lake! I haven't been to One Thousand Island Lake for a long time, so I drove 2 hours from downtown Hangzhou to the InterContinental after checking out the hotels. 🔸Location: At the foot of Xianshan Mountain in One Thousand Island Lake, more than 30 km from the high-speed railway station. Although the hotel offers a shuttle service, I think self-driving is more suitable. 🔸Outdoor scenery: A lake, a mountain, a beach, a lighthouse, a park, a garden, etc. The hotel is really big, and I haven't finished exploring it after more than an hour. Even in winter, green is the main color, with some red maple and yellow leaves, making the colors stronger. One Thousand Island Lake is particularly beautiful in the sunlight. 🔸Indoor public area: Although the decoration uses a lot of wood color and Chinese style, which is a little heavy, the design is still very strong. The lobby is very grand, and the restaurant and swimming pool are also well designed. After all, it is a resort hotel, and the overall space is large and atmospheric. 🔸Room: The ordinary room type is 49–55 square meters, which is very spacious, with a bathtub, balcony, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. The sunlight can easily shine in, and you can see the lake and sunbathe in the room. The only problem is that the decoration is a little old, and the basic room does not have a coffee machine. 🔸Dining: The hotel breakfast is quite rich, and the taste is average. Because the hotel is large, there will be many people. I chose to have dinner at Xianshan Restaurant, which is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It seems to have been open for more than ten years. The fish head is really good, the soup is delicious, the fish is firm and not fishy, and the price is cheaper than the hotel. 🔸Check-in point: The swimming pool, the check-in point at the entrance, the corridor outside the gate, the lighthouse, and the lake viewing platform are all very photogenic. Especially the check-in point at the entrance, you can take pictures of the sunset 🌄 and post them on your social media. In conclusion, it is a hotel suitable for daze. The scenery is really beautiful when the weather is good, and the swimming pool and other facilities are also good. The decoration is relatively old, but it is suitable for the elderly and children.
