Revisiting Mount Qiyun

I remember being here three times, each time around the Qingming Festival. The first time was when I was a child, about 10 years old, I took a green train with my parents. After arriving at the station, we walked along the railway tracks to the top of Mount Qiyun. At that time, there were only broken walls and ruins on Mount Qiyun, and most of the Taoist temples and buildings had been destroyed. I vaguely remember drawing a fortune stick in a Taoist temple near a cave, and it was a very good fortune stick of flowers and a full moon. My mother still keeps the fortune stick, and I am very happy about it. Although I am still an active fatalist when I grow up, I don’t want to peek into the future and gain insight into opportunities. The gifts given by time will eventually unfold before my eyes. I will face them positively, whether they are joy or pain. Later, after my father passed away, I accompanied my mother to Mount Qiyun again one year. At that time, Mount Qiyun had been renovated, and we walked along the Xiake Ancient Trail. I chatted with my mother along the way, reminiscing about the good and bad times, and had many feelings. The wheel of fate has already turned, and we can only cherish the present to live up to our youth. This time, I took my child and accompanied my mother to visit Mount Qiyun again. A cableway has been built on the not-so-high mountain. My mother went to draw a fortune as usual, and it was another very good fortune. I was very happy for my mother, but I didn't let my child draw a fortune. After all, he has to walk his own path and there is no need to spy on the opportunity. I inexplicably believe that although he will encounter twists and turns, he will surely get success. Qiyun Mountain
