Relics are silent, but they have their own stories. The quickest way to learn about a city's past and present is to visit the local museum. Make sure to set the pick-up point to a specific location (e.g. Three Gorges Museum Burger King). The square is very large, and the surrounding roads are very narrow. Arrive at the pick-up point in advance, otherwise, you may get stuck in traffic. Admission Information 1. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Admission is free. 2. You can enter the museum by scanning your ID card or reservation code. 3. Do not cancel your reservation easily. Read the reservation instructions carefully. If you cancel your reservation too many times, you will be restricted from making reservations. 4. Children without ID cards also need to register and make a reservation. Fill in the information of the accompanying guardian and the ID card number on the household registration book. 5. The museum is closed on Mondays and open from 9:00 to 17:00. Admission ends at 16:30. Inside the Museum 1. The museum has 4 floors and volunteer guides. You can follow them if you catch up. 2. There are vending machines in the museum. You cannot bring your own drinks in cups. There are also hot and cold water dispensers. You can bring your own water bottle. 3. The cultural and creative stores are concentrated on the first floor, and there are a few stalls on other floors. 4. In winter, the heating is on in each exhibition hall, but the public areas outside are very cold. Take off and put on your clothes to avoid catching a cold. Highlights There is a magnificent Three Gorges Hall on the first floor, which shows the excavation, relocation, and protection of cultural relics in the Three Gorges area during the construction of the Three Gorges Project. It also shows the basic operation of cultural work through the exhibition of on-site cultural relics restoration rooms, cultural relics restoration diagrams, lacquerware cultural relics preservation equipment, etc. Nearby Attractions 1. The museum is located on one side of Renmin Square, opposite the Chongqing People's Auditorium, which is modeled after the Temple of Heaven. 2. Zengjiayan Station is on Line 2. You can take the light rail to experience the Liziba Station (also on Line 2) light rail through the building. 3. You can take a taxi to the nearby E'ling Park and E'ling Factory.
