Wanling Ancient Town

Wanling Ancient Town, originally named Lukong Town, is located in the eastern part of Rongchang District, Chongqing City, with a latitude of 29°29'26" and a longitude of 105°38'43". The town street is 8 kilometers away from Rongchang urban area, with an area of 24 square kilometers. Wanling Town faces Laixi River in the southwest, and relies on hills and mountains in the northeast. It is built according to the mountain, with clear levels, and has the reputation of "small mountain city". In 2015, the total output value of Wanling Town reached 242 million yuan, an increase of 14.7% over the same period last year. The commercial atmosphere of Wanling Ancient Town is not heavy, where mountains, water, and cities reflect each other, with typical Chongqing Jiangnan characteristics. The main attractions include Darongzhai, Ming and Qing Old Street, Darong Bridge, Silver Beach, Erya Academy, Zhao's Ancestral Hall, Huguang Guild Hall and Film and Television Base, etc. In 2010, Wanling Town was awarded the fifth batch of "China's Historical and Cultural Town" title by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
