It takes about 10-15 minutes by car from Waegwan Station to Chilgokbo Ecological Park, and it is a bit far to walk, so it is recommended to use public transportation or your own car. If you use public transportation, you can conveniently get there by taking bus number 11 from Waegwan Station and getting off at Chilgokbo Ecological Park stop. If you use your own car, go north along Waegwan-ro from the station and go straight for about 5km to reach Chilgokbo. There is ample parking space in the park, so you don’t have to worry about parking. Chilgokbo Ecological Park is a nature-friendly park created along the Nakdong River, and the walking and bicycle paths along the river are very well maintained. What I liked most about this place was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It was really healing to take a leisurely walk or ride a bicycle in nature and feel the river breeze. In particular, thanks to the sculptures and information boards installed throughout the park, you can not only walk, but also increase your understanding of ecology and nature. Also, this is a great place to visit around sunset. The sunset reflected on the water as the sun slowly sets over the river is truly beautiful. It is a great place to visit with your family, or to spend time alone taking a leisurely walk.
