Wat Rong Khun was designed and built by Ajarn Chalermchai Khositphiphat, a famous painter, who built Wat Rong Khun as a Buddhist art of the country, to offer as a Buddhist offering. The highlight of Wat Rong Khun is the white church beautifully decorated with silver glass patterns. The gable is decorated with Naga serpents. The murals are a combination of old and new styles of art that look charming and unlike any other.
