Wat Phra Kaew, Chiang Khong

#ChiangraiTravel Wat Phra Kaew, Chiang Khong is considered a beautiful temple located on the banks of the Mekong River. It was originally named Wat Sri Bun Rueang and is believed to have been built around 1240. Inside the temple are Buddha statues and a 1,300-year-old pavilion. Inside the pagoda are the hair relics of the Lord Buddha. Legend has it that this was the place where the Lord Buddha visited and left two strands of his hair to represent him. Currently, they are enshrined in two pagodas in Chiang Khong: Wat Chai Sathan and Wat Phra Kaew. #Mr.Tourism
