Once in a lifetime, conquer the peak of “Doi Luang Chiang Dao”

Doi Luang Chiang Dao Biosphere Reserve is another very beautiful hiking trail and hikers are interested in trying it out at least once in their lives. For the Doi Luang Chiang Dao nature study trail, advance booking is required because the number of tourists per day is limited, so it fills up very quickly and there are quite a few steps. You must register for training 1 day before the hike to understand the ecosystem and nature on the mountain, including how tourists should behave in the forest area. On the day of the hike, you must register at the wildlife sanctuary to receive the rental equipment, pay the fee, garbage deposit, and weigh your bags and hire porters. The officer will give you a bag containing toilet paper, a urine bag, and a black bag for defecating (do not use wet tissues, do not pee or defecate in the forest). Then there will be a car to take you to the starting point called "Den Ya Khat" which takes 1.5 hours. You should prepare food and drinking water because there are no shops or water sources up there. Starting point Den Ya Khat - Ang Slung tent site, distance 8.5 kilometers, walking time about 4-5 hours, stop for lunch at Pang Wua intersection. The first part of the trail is a flat mountain path with some steep sections, easy to walk. From Pang Wua intersection to the tent site, there are several steep spots, it gets steeper and steeper, but the weather is nice and cool, not too hot. When you get to the tent site and pack your stuff, you have to walk up to the top of Doi Luang for another 2 kilometers. The path is steep and slippery, it is a rocky slope, there is a rope to climb, you have to be very careful. It is recommended to bring a jacket and a headlamp. The weather is cold on the top of the mountain, and on the way back, the path is dark. There are no facilities at all at the tent site. You can't shower. The bathroom is a small square canvas with 1 chair, which is used only for excretion. The view of Doi Luang peak is beautiful and worth the effort. You should come at least once. You will get both experience and friendship at the same time. For beginners, it is easy to walk, but it may not be comfortable.
