A Dreamy Journey of Grasslands and Music: A Trip to Yingtian Lake

Amid the hustle and bustle of city life, the longing for the vastness and freedom of nature becomes even stronger. On July 19th this year, I learned that a grand music festival was to be held at the Yingtian Lake Grassland, featuring a live performance by my favorite indie band. Without hesitation, I packed up my family and embarked on this much-anticipated journey. During this trip, the Kuandong Zhoujia Homestay at Yingtian Lake became our warm and cozy haven. First Encounter with the Homestay: A Feeling of Coming Home After a long drive, we finally arrived at the Yunshili Homestay at Yingtian Lake, and the fatigue instantly melted away at the sight before us. Nestled amidst mountains, the homestay is surrounded by lush greenery, with the gentle sound of a nearby stream creating a natural symphony of welcome. The kids jumped out of the car and immediately started running and playing on the lawn in front of the homestay, chasing butterflies that fluttered low to the ground. We had booked a family room, which was spacious, bright, and decorated in a cozy and adorable style. The beds were soft and comfortable, thoughtfully adorned with toys that the kids loved. The room was equipped with a flat-screen TV, modern Wi-Fi, central air conditioning, and a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas, 24-hour hot water, and individually packaged towels for hygiene. Every detail reflected the care and thoughtfulness of the homestay, making us feel right at home. Delicious Cuisine: A Feast for the Taste Buds After settling in, our stomachs began to rumble. The homestay's restaurant, located on the first floor, was already wafting enticing aromas that whetted our appetites. The menu featured farm-to-table specialties, with vegetables freshly picked from the homestay's own garden, still carrying the earthy fragrance of the soil. We ordered mountain-raised beef, free-range duck, and stir-fried seasonal greens. The beef was tender and juicy, bursting with rich flavor in every bite; the duck was perfectly stewed, with a rich broth and melt-in-your-mouth meat; the greens were fresh and crisp, retaining their natural sweetness. The kids ate with gusto, exclaiming that it was even better than the food in the city. After the meal, the owner treated us to a plate of chilled watermelon, whose sweet juice instantly dispelled the summer heat, leaving us refreshed and satisfied. Music Festival Extravaganza: A Night to Remember After a short rest, we headed to the Yingtian Lake Grassland Music Festival. The homestay is conveniently located just a short ten-minute drive from the venue. Along the way, the kids excitedly chattered about their expectations for the festival. When we arrived, the place was already teeming with people and buzzing with excitement. The stage was illuminated with dazzling lights, and the powerful sound of music filled the air. We found a good spot to sit and waited for the performances to begin. Soon, the host took the stage to announce the official start of the festival. Local bands performed first, their passionate acts instantly igniting the crowd. The audience swayed and cheered to the rhythm. Finally, the headliner I had been eagerly awaiting took the stage, greeted by a wave of cheers. As familiar melodies played, the lead singer's captivating voice resonated across the grassland. My family and I were completely immersed, humming along to the tunes. The kids danced joyfully beside us, their faces beaming with happiness. The atmosphere reached one climax after another, as everyone let loose in the sea of music, leaving all worries behind. Peaceful Moments: Embracing Tranquility The next morning, we woke up early to take a stroll around the homestay. The morning air was exceptionally fresh, filled with the scent of grass and earth. We wandered along country paths, passing vast rice fields swaying gently in the breeze like a green ocean. The kids curiously observed the insects and frogs in the fields, exclaiming in wonder from time to time. Back at the homestay, breakfast was already prepared. The simple yet hearty meal included porridge, eggs, steamed buns, and homemade pickles, each bite brimming with the taste of home. After breakfast, the kids played in the homestay's outdoor swimming pool, their laughter echoing in the air. Sitting on a lounge chair by the pool, basking in the sun, I felt a profound sense of peace and contentment. This family trip to the Yingtian Lake Grassland was made even more perfect by the Yunshili Homestay. With its comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and the unforgettable night at the music festival, it was an experience to cherish. We look forward to returning someday to once again savor the beauty of nature and culture intertwined.
