Nestled in the heart of the city, exploring Chengdu from JW Marriott Chengdu Mao Ye

Chengdu always draws me back time and again. This time, I stayed at JW Marriott Chengdu Mao Ye and discovered yet another layer of the city's charm. The hotel is perfectly situated between the bustle of Tianfu Square and moments of tranquility, just a three-minute walk from the metro hub. Within ten minutes, you can stroll to Chunxi Road, Taikoo Li, the Provincial Library, Art Museum, and Chengdu Museum. The local vibe of Yanshikou blends seamlessly with modern fashion and the city's profound cultural heritage. Here, you can ascend to take in the city's dynamic pulse or unwind in the newly upgraded guest rooms, savoring your own slow moments with Chengdu. The beige-toned guest rooms offer visual and physical relaxation. The soft glow of bedside wall lamps spills over the gray-toned sofa, which is so spacious it feels like an extra "bed"—sometimes I even prefer curling up here to daydream. The bathroom, with its generous space, is another highlight, where gold-framed mirrors and bathtub shelves create a harmonious interplay of warm and cool tones. As night falls, sinking into the bathtub envelops both body and mind in the misty warmth of Chengdu's evenings. The hotel lobby on the eighth floor features double-height glass walls that frame the city's skyscrapers as part of its own scenery. Decorated in champagne gold and ivory white, the lobby blends wooden accents with metallic lines for a refined yet modern elegance. Occasional panda motifs remind me I'm in Chengdu, but the most breathtaking feature is the crystal chandelier spanning the entire lobby—like suspended shards of ice, it sparkles brilliantly, casting a dazzling "galaxy" between the ceiling and floor. Up on the 28th floor, the executive lounge offers a completely different vista. Outside the windows, a forest of steel and flowing traffic unfolds, while inside, delectable pastries and poetic comforts await. I also love setting off from here to sip tea and experience ear cleaning at People's Park, wander through Kuanzhai Alley at dusk, or savor the flavors of old Chengdu in its vibrant streets.
