🌊Mohechi Ruins Park | Where Chengdu's ancient charm meets modern style🌊 In the heart of bustling Chengdu, Sichuan Province, lies a hidden gem—Mohechi Ruins Park. Like a silent history book, it carries the echoes of Chengdu's thousand-year-old past, bearing the deep imprint of the glorious era of imperial gardens from the Tang to Ming Dynasties, and quietly narrating countless stories and legends of the land of Shu. Stepping onto this land is like stepping into a time corridor, instantly isolating you from the hustle and bustle of the modern city, leaving only the gentle breath of tranquility. 🍀【Discover ancient charm, unmissable highlights】 1. Explore the Mohechi Ruins: Stroll through the park, and every inch of land beneath your feet seems to whisper stories of the past. The magnificent layout of the former imperial garden is evident, with scattered bricks and tiles. Though weathered by time, they stubbornly retain the warmth of history. Touching these ancient relics is like touching the fingertips of people from a thousand years ago, feeling their elegant demeanor as they strolled through the gardens, reciting poems and composing couplets. The weight of time instantly fills your heart. 2. In-depth tour of the Cultural Exhibition Hall: This is a treasure trove of knowledge leading to the depths of Chengdu's thousand-year history. Step inside, and the rich and detailed graphic information unfolds like a historical scroll, presenting the rise and fall of Mohechi Pool and the changing times of Chengdu. The invaluable unearthed cultural relics are quietly displayed in the showcases, each one like a messenger through time, carrying an ancient aura, leading you through a time tunnel, and allowing you to immersively experience the prosperity and changes of Chengdu over the millennia, marveling at the wisdom and creativity of the ancients. 3. Leisurely stroll through the green spaces: The park is shaded by lush trees, like a green ocean in the city, providing a tranquil oasis for busy urbanites. Sunlight filters through the leaves, forming golden spots. Stroll among them, with a gentle breeze caressing your face, bringing a touch of coolness and the fragrance of flowers and plants. Find a quiet corner to relax, with the chirping of birds in your ears and lush greenery before your eyes. The fatigue of your body and mind instantly dissipates, leaving only the tranquility and comfort deeply rooted in your heart. 🍀【Convenient transportation, easily embark on a journey through time】 📍Detailed address: Section 1, Renmin Middle Road, Qingyang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, adjacent to Tianfu Square and the Sichuan Provincial Library, enjoying a prime location in the cultural heart of the city. 🚌Transportation guide: Take Metro Line 1 or Line 2 and get off at Tianfu Square Station. A short 5-minute walk will bring you to Mohechi Ruins Park. If you choose to drive, navigate to "Chengdu Mohechi Ruins Park." There are several public parking lots nearby, making parking a breeze and ensuring a worry-free journey. 🍀【Chengdu on the tip of your tongue, nearby culinary temptations】 After sightseeing, how can you miss the comfort of food? The nearby Kuanzhai Alley is a treasure trove of culinary delights, with a dazzling array of food shops. Enjoy a steaming bowl of Long Chao Shou, with its delicate skin and savory meat filling dancing on your taste buds. Or savor the spicy, fragrant, and rich Mapo Tofu, each bite an exquisite taste of authentic Sichuan cuisine. If you're a hot pot lover, don't miss the spicy hot pot, with a boiling hot base and various fresh ingredients, immersing your taste buds in a fiery carnival, instantly igniting your appetite and adding a rich, savory touch to your journey. 🍀【Nearby attractions, connecting a colorful journey】 1. Chengdu Museum: Just a stone's throw away from Mohechi, a few hundred meters feels like a single step, yet it spans a thousand years of history. The museum boasts a rich and diverse collection, from ancient bronzes to exquisite calligraphy and paintings, from mysterious Sanxingdui relics to modern folk exhibits, comprehensively showcasing the long history and splendid culture of Chengdu and Sichuan. It's an unmissable cultural feast, allowing you to immerse yourself in the ocean of history. 2. Tianfu Square: As a landmark of Chengdu, it exudes a unique charm, like the city's living room. The large musical fountain dances with the rhythm of the music, and the splashing water sparkles under the sunlight. Various art sculptures are scattered throughout, some abstract, some realistic, each with profound cultural meaning, adding a rich artistic atmosphere to the square. It's also a popular spot for locals to relax and unwind, and you can feel the leisurely lifestyle of Chengdu people whenever you visit. 3. Kuanzhai Alley: This renowned historical and cultural street is undoubtedly the best representative of old Chengdu's charm. The bluestone roads wind and twist, and the ancient Chuanxi-style houses stand in rows. Walking in the alley is like traveling back in time to a leisurely and carefree era. Here, you can not only savor various authentic Chengdu snacks, delighting your taste buds, but also immerse yourself in the laid-back and slow-paced lifestyle of Chengdu people, experiencing the "comfortable and enjoyable" Chengdu life and feeling the unique cultural charm of this city.

📅 Itinerary Day1:First day we went exploring the city. Just walk around and ended up at Tianfu sq. In the afternoon I went back to Wenzhou Yuan Monastery and the surrounding neighbourhood. Since we were pretty Jet lagged this was a very short day. In the evening we went to Kuan / Zhai alley for food. Which was a pretty cute area to move around and enjoy the evening. Day2: we started with the chengdu museum. Which was pretty awesome and then spend the afternoon in the people’s park and surrounding area. Also did some shopping along Chunxi Road. The afternoon we went to Wu Hu Shrine, where we also got food in the food street next door. Day3: we went to the panda research centre where in the morning (getting up early is really recommended to see them feed in the Morning), the afternoon we went to the Du Fu thatched cottage museum. Evening was spend near Anshun bridge for food and drinks. 🏨 Accommodation : we stayed at the MeHood hotel near Wenzhou Yuan monastry which was a pretty nice stay. Next time might get something more central. 📌 Tips : go to the panda centre Early to see them Have a go at their bamboo.
