Pilar Albarracín is an artist I really like. If she came to Chengdu and I missed it, I would really cry. I really want to meet her in person. / As one of Spain's most outstanding artists, most of the works in this exhibition feature traditional Spanish clothing: flamenco skirts. / Flamenco, accompanied by passionate music, stomps and spins into a confident and beautiful dance. This is the appearance we can see. Pilar Albarracín can use this beautiful appearance for very direct satire, can also be very humorous, and can also be powerful enough to be ruthless to herself. She uses creation to discuss the real social issues under the identity of Spanish women. / The first work in the exhibition hall is very wow, it is simply a gorgeous ocean of flamenco skirts. In the image, the museum's door opens and a large audience is already waiting, looking at the scene in front of them and slowly taking cautious steps. And it's night, and the light on the scene is obviously not enough. As a lady lying on the ground in a gorgeous dress, I felt a kind of fear, and every step I took was potentially dangerous. / It is also interesting that traditional clothing appears in very contemporary visual expressions. There are patterns of heart blood vessels, skeletons, muscles, and digestive systems on the four skirts, which are related to rational science. In two of them, her body language is obviously biased towards male roles, sometimes like a politician shouting in an election, and sometimes like a rock superstar pursued by fans. / Another work directly changed into a bullfighter's costume that shows male power, but stepped on red high heels and held a pressure cooker. In my personal opinion, the daily life of a housewife and bullfighting are similar, and they all have to face many challenges. / In the era of work creation, many movies and TV shows in the West have scenes of runaway brides. Pilar Albarracín directly came to a runaway housewife, and the video was paired with bgm and escaped from the window along the rope, which made me think of Jackie Chan's movie inexplicably. I don't know if I got inspiration from his Kung Fu movie? / My personal favorite work is "Polka Dot". Pilar Albarracín went on a very high-end stage, and the lighting was absolutely beautiful. She was wearing a pure white flamenco skirt. It feels like a spoiler behind, and it's boring. I watched the goose bumps on the scene.
