Visit Wenshu Monastery in Chengdu to experience the slow life of the locals

When you come to Chengdu for a covered-bowl tea, don't just know to go to People's Park. Today, I'm sharing a guide to tea drinking at Wenshu Monastery. After touring Wenshu Monastery, exit from the back door, and the red wall next to it is great for taking photos and checking in. Walk about 50 meters to reach Xiangyuan 1⃣️ At Xiangyuan, the covered-bowl tea ordered upon entering can only be enjoyed while sitting on bamboo chairs in the courtyard, starting at 15 yuan per cup. 2⃣️ Chenlu: A separate small courtyard with a better environment. Outdoor tea drinking starts at 38 yuan, indoor at 68 yuan, and the vegetarian set meal is 78 yuan. 3⃣️ Exiting Chenlu, you can order tea in the compartment on the right: starting at 48 yuan, with seating available indoors and in the corridor. Mushroom rice is also ordered here, at 18 yuan per serving, with ordering starting at 11:30. If you want to eat, you should come early; by the time I arrived in the afternoon around three or four, it was already sold out. 4⃣️ Xinxian: You can have a vegetarian buffet for 35 yuan per person. Recently, the buffet is only available at noon, not in the evening! There's also a vegetarian hot pot for 50 yuan per person. 🚗 Transportation 1⃣️ If driving, navigate directly to *Wenshu Monastery*, where there is a parking lot next to the temple. 2⃣️ Take the subway Line 1 and get off at "Wenshu Monastery" station, then walk for a few minutes.
