Spring River Beast Moon Night-Alie Special Exhibition

This place was formerly the waiting room of Pingtung Haikou Port. After two years of renovation, it has been transformed into a brand new art space. Spring River Beast Moonlit Night - Ale Special Exhibition is the first exhibition of the opening of Kanhai Art Museum. In this exhibition, a 14-meter-high monster balloon named "Spring River" will be exhibited outdoors. The towering 14-meter monster carries a bag on its back and embraces the Kanhai Art Museum with both hands. The audience has to go up to the third floor to see the front of the monster. The coloring of this large balloon work was done by Ale himself in a realistic style, which is extremely difficult because the coloring method is reverse engineering. Before the shape is completed, it is first drawn on the plate and then sewn into the shape, so it has to rely on three-dimensional concept imagination to draw. This will be the first realistic balloon in Taiwan. The first floor of the museum is dedicated to the exhibition "Spring River Beast Moonlit Night", which displays dozens of A-le's three-dimensional works. The shapes are vivid and full of vitality, and there is often hidden humor in the works, which is A-le's interpretation of monsters. The works on display at the second floor are mainly in ink and wash, and many of them are based on the local characteristics of Haikou Port. In addition to Fu'an Temple and the Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, even water chestnuts, onions, and pineapples have become "living things" in A's paintings. Ah Lie's ink painting and sculptures are integrated with each other. The ink painting technique is fully applied to the coloring of the sculptures. In Tao's creation, although there is only gray glaze, due to his imagination, the color of the sculpture can show the airy feeling of ink painting. Ink paintings, however, use the 3D thinking of three-dimensional sculptures to allow the flat surface to transcend the limitations of time and space. The monsters in common works are either overlapping, transparent, or huge.
