The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is the only cathedral-level church in the eastern part of Thailand. Its most notable features are the spires on its two bell towers. Inside the cathedral, the ceiling is decorated with the hull of a Noah's Ark, with Gothic glass windows and stained glass. Inside, there is also a valuable statue of the Virgin Mary, decorated with over 200,000 gems, or over 20,000 carats, and a base cast from pure silver, decorated with gold and various gems.
