Dragon Soaring over Wu - Changzhou Ancient History and Culture (I)

The Changzhou Museum is located at 1288 Longcheng Avenue, Xinbei District, Changzhou, Jiangsu. The Dragon Soaring over Wu - Changzhou Ancient History and Culture exhibition is on the second floor of the Changzhou Museum in the Changzhou History and Culture Exhibition Hall. The Changzhou area is located on the northwest edge of the Taihu Lake Basin, an ancient land. The large number of Old Stone Age tools unearthed in Jintan and Shadun show that humans thrived here 100,000 years ago. Entering the Neolithic Age, this land successively experienced the Majiabang culture, the Songze culture, and the Liangzhu culture. Xudun and Sidun are important sites of the Majiabang culture and the Liangzhu culture. The large number of jade ritual vessels unearthed from the No. 3 tomb of Sidun prove that this was a central settlement second only to Liangzhu in Zhejiang.
