Korea's largest Spring Festival

Jinhae Gunhangje Annual Festival is one of the South Korea's largest cherry blossom festival which is a delight to attend. The festival is spread through 9 days with various events such as cherry blossom music festival, Black eagles airshow, Admiral Yi Sun-shin Memorial Festival, Admiral Yi Sun-shin Victory Commemoration Marine Fireworks Show and Parade. It is a recommended visit for anyone traveling in Korea through spring season. It is beautiful all around. Getting There - It is very convenient to reach Jinhae-Gu. It is well connected by buses from Busan and Seoul. It is also possible to reach Changwon from Seoul and Busan and then go to the festival. Changwon has more frequent bus connections from both major cities. Also, lots of day tours are also available from various tour companies which can be booked on trip.com and other third party websites. Attractions - Main attractions included the cherry blossom trees lining the gyeonghwa station and yeojwacheon stream. During the day, there are various food stalls and pop up stores. At night, the Yeojwacheon Starlight Festival is a major attraction. Various artists performances are held throughtout the festival locations. Hotels - Staying in Jinhae can be expensive due to large crowd during the festival. Instead one can stay in Changwon which is nearby. Recommended hotels include Toyoko inn Changwon, Hotel Grand city.
