Ancient Academy, Dafudi, Changsha, Hunan

On the way back to Hong Kong, the child’s father reunited with his old high school classmates in Changsha, Hunan. An old classmate picked us up at the high-speed rail station and took us for a walk around the Orange Island Scenic Area. This area belongs to Yuelu District, and the famous Yuelu Academy is located on the campus of Hunan University. This area is home to a concentration of universities. In addition to Hunan University, Central South University and Hunan Normal University are also located here. I like to visit schools in every city, but the schedule is so tight that I can only rush past the school gates. The restaurant for the class reunion was chosen near these universities. It is called Dafudi. The landscape is also ancient and has a very academic atmosphere. The atmosphere here is perfect for gathering and meeting friends. The dishes are rich, mainly Hunan cuisine. Our favorite dish was the roast duck, which we hadn't had for five or six years, and it was very fresh and delicious.
