Make merit at Wat Chaimongkol Chiang Mai

Wat Chaimongkol is located at 133 Charoen Prathet Road, Chang Klan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. Wat Chaimongkol is considered one of the oldest temples in Chiang Mai Province. This temple is over 600 years old. It was originally a Mon temple, Wat Maleo, which means dawn. Inside the temple, there is Phra Phuttha Chaimongkol, a brick or gilded Mara-Vijaya posture Buddha statue, which is the principal Buddha image in the chapel. It is a replica of the wall behind the principal Buddha image. There is a carved teak pulpit in the shape of a seven-headed naga, built in 1933.
