Wat Park Khlong Makham Thao

Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao (Wat Luang Pu Suk) History of Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao A temple of the people, belonging to the Mahanikaya sect, built in 1889. It was originally named Wat U Thong Pak Khlong Makham Thao because there was an old tamarind tree on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in front of the temple. Later, the word U Thong was cut off and became only Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao until today. Luang Pu Suk, Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao Luang Pu Suk Kesaro was born on Monday, the 4th month of the year of the dog, 1847, during the reign of King Rama IV in a house next to Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao, Wat Sing District, Chai Nat Province. He was the eldest son of Mr. Nuam and Mrs. Thongdee Ketsavetsuraya. His family was farmers. When he was 7 years old, his parents took him to stay with a monk at Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao to study Thai and Khmer. Until the age of 18, he left the temple to gain experience. When he was 20, he returned to be ordained as a monk at Wat Pho Thong Lang with Ajarn Choei Chansiri, the abbot, as his preceptor. After that, he studied the Dharma and the Tripitaka until he became an expert in Vipassana meditation. And because he was an expert in language and Yantra letters, he entered the world of magic and spells. He was taught by Ajarn Choei, who was an expert in Buddhist magic, until he became an expert and had strong mental power. This caused him to have many disciples and followers who came to him. Luang Pu Suk was ordained elsewhere and went on a pilgrimage for a long time before returning to visit his parents and becoming the abbot of Wat Pak Khlong Makham Thao. He also developed the temple until it became prosperous. Because of his kindness, he had many disciples and followers. He resided at this temple until his death. If you come to Chai Nat, don't forget to stop by to pay respect to Luang Pu for good luck and prosperity. #Get a discount without relying on luck
