Discovering Cayo Coco, Cuba: A Visa-Free Hidden Gem's Stunning Scenery and Travel Guide

Hey everyone 👋, today I'm sharing an amazing hidden gem of an island with you - Cayo Coco, Cuba 🎉! 📄 Entry Information You don't need a visa to enter Cuba with a Chinese passport, but you do need to fill out a travel document online, generate a QR code, and save it. Customs officials will scan it upon entry. The process is quite convenient. 📍 Location I chose to stay at the Memories Flamenco hotel. 🚗 Transportation I flew in from Montreal. Once on the island, there are various transportation options, including buses, horse-drawn carriages, and even boats that can take you around the island for a truly immersive experience 😆. 🏨 Hotel The hotel facilities are quite comprehensive, including a bathtub, sofa, safe, ironing board, and a large balcony. However, the overall feel is quite dated, like a five-star hotel from 30 years ago. The bed creaks, and the toilet is quite old. The accommodation is just average, perhaps because I didn't choose the best hotel. However, for an extra $10 per day, you can upgrade to an ocean view room. 👍 Must-See Attractions Here's the highlight: the sea here is absolutely stunning! It's easily comparable to the Maldives, with its gorgeous multi-hued waters and silvery sand beaches. Walking on the beach and gazing at the dreamy seawater is pure bliss 😍. 🎟 Tickets and Costs The pricing is quite interesting. During Christmas, everything is included - flights, hotel, meals, and drinks - all for CAD $1,500 per person. This even includes a Christmas lobster and seafood feast. If you go during the off-season, it's much more affordable, around CAD $700. 💗 Other Tips Tipping is customary in Cayo Coco. If you tip $1 or $2, staff will be happy to cut down coconuts for you or offer you higher-quality tequila and rum. Of course, it's okay if you don't tip; the service won't be any worse.
